Hi O'leary's,
We passed our insulation inspection yesterday and we are moving on to drywall and finish carpentry. All of the rough is now complete. We finished the HVAC work yesterday as well and will patch and clean the guest bedroom.
Once the drywall is complete, we will install the bead board ceiling and trim out all of the windows. Here are some progress photos.
This project is a renovation of a 3 season porch in Cohasset, Massachusetts. The home owners would like to convert the space into a usable playroom and TV room for their enjoyment year round. We will be installing new windows, a french door and lots of built-in storage in the form of bookcases and benches.

Framing complete
Last week was a great week. We finished both the rough electric and rough framing of the porch. The new stairs came out perfect and match the existing. We are ready for sign off and will get that on monday. We also completely painted the exterior wood work and stained the decking. Things are really coming together on the exterior.
Next week we will start by focusing in the interior. We will be completing the air conditioning duct work, begin to insulate the walls and ceiling and start to do the drywall. Should be a good week. Here are some pictures, enjoy.

Demolition Completed
Hi Guys,
Last week was a great week. We have completely gutted the inside of the porch. We removed the screens, decking, clad boards and trim. Everything has been stripped to the bear bones. The new windows have been ordered and the new french door has been delivered and is currently onsite. Many thanks to Cam for keeping the guys working hard during the demolition. His banging on the door kept Mike and Brian on their toes and is an inspiration for my own management style.
Not only have we destroyed but we are now rebuilding. We have made some great progress. The floor has been completely insulated and the new subfloor has been installed. Uli was the one casualty this week, she still has liquid nails on her belly after a fall between the floor rafters lander her in a bed of insulation and glue. I will preform the surgical shave next week, keep you fingers crossed and say some prayers for her. The framing will continue this week and we hope to complete the framing of the walls. Here are some pictures. Enjoy the week.

Welcome & Enjoy
Welcome to your new project blog and welcome to your new construction project. I will use this blog as a record to post pictures and keep you updated of the construction progress. Feel free to post comments, or ask me questions or even add pictures as well. This blog is a fun way to keep your family and friends up to speed on what is going on so send it to anyone and everyone. Have fun with it and at the very least it is a great way for me to communicate what was completed and what is on the horizon. Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Jed
